Members and Fees
The North-Estonian Association of the Blind has about 450 members. More than 300 of them live in Tallinn and the rest elsewhere in Estonia. The membership of the association also includes about 20 supporting members.
About half of the members are older than 65 years, the share of those under 35 is around 6%. About half of the members of the PPÜ have Estonian as their mother tongue.
Any adult with a recognized visual impairment can be a member of the North-Estonian Association of the Blind.
An applicant wishing to become a member of the Association must submit to the Board of PPÜ:
- Application form
- Evidence of visual impairment.
The decision on admission to membership is made by the board of PPÜ. If desired, the member will be issued a membership ticket.
